Our extensive fabrication facilities provide for complete control of all stages of production from rough shaping through the finished element, while meeting all drawing specifications. In addition to our mechanical and automated polishers, CVI Optical Components hand-polishing technicians are highly skilled in producing flatwork to the exacting tolerances of our customers' requirements. This specialized department utilizes Fizeau interferometers, as well as ZYGO Mark GPI XPSs with both 4" and 6" apertures, and a ZYGO Mark IV with up to 11" aperture capabilities; numerous autocollimators and other precision instrumentation. The recent addition of LOH Spheronorm Series 50 and 120 computer controlled spherical lens generation and polishing machines, has increased our capability to provide lenses with minimal lead-times and complements our traditional fabrication abilities. We routinely produce optics with a 10 - 5 surface quality, and to the following tolerances:

	Flatwork:     1/20 wavelength flatness     1/3 arc second parallelism     1 arc second angles
	Spherical lenses:     1/10 wavelength figure     30 second centering
